Odíhg Síhvikùwù (/ˈsɪ̞vi/ /ˈkʊwʊ/ [bow (weapon)] [bright]) is a subtropical Town located in the Wizkèysè Provence of the Kingdom of Hobben.

The name Odíhg Síhvikùwù is derived from the Tauric language, as Odíhg Síhvikùwù was founded by Ra̋chīs Da̋s 'Melissa Sasha' Mboīs Sēnḱ Hāstär Griffith Nanner, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Odíhg Síhvikùwù has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Overview

Odíhg Síhvikùwù was founded durring the early 13th century in fall of the year 1223, by Ra̋chīs Da̋s 'Melissa Sasha' Mboīs Sēnḱ Hāstär Griffith Nanner. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Ra̋chīs Da̋s 'Melissa Sasha' Mboīs Sēnḱ Hāstär Griffith Nanner.

Odíhg Síhvikùwù was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Síhvikùwù is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Odíhg Síhvikùwù is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of restrictive paverstone streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Odíhg Síhvikùwù's minimaly adiquite are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Right off the bat Odíhg Síhvikùwù hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. This wealth has brought the town nothing but neurosis, if you can believe your eyes. Everyone acts as if you’re out to take a piece of them. Every door is locked and every window barred. Efforts are made to make you feel welcome, but only in the public areas of the town, particularly the market.

Odíhg Síhvikùwù has an animal control department which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the control, impoundment, and disposition of animals.

Odíhg Síhvikùwù has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Odíhg Síhvikùwù. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Odíhg Síhvikùwù's parks.

Cultural Notes

Odíhg Síhvikùwù's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by towering round arches, massive stone and brickwork, small windows, thick walls, and a propensity for housing art and sculpture depicting mythological scenes. The building's general shape would be a clever and ascetic combination of geometric shapes, which would be blended together by joining elements. The style's decorative features were largely internal rather than external and incorporated semicircular arches for windows, doors, and arcades; barrel or groin vaults to support the roof of the nave; massive piers and walls, with few windows, to contain the outward thrust of the vaults; side aisles with galleries above them..

Odíhg Síhvikùwù is cursed with recurrent spells of some troublesome disease. The affliction isn’t so fatal as to make living there impossible, but it adds suffering and expense to local lives. The plague might be the product of an ancient curse, the results of long lost toxic remains, or an unavoidable byproduct of whatever industry or purpose justifies the city. It’s probably not overly contagious, but visitors may be in some peril all the same.

The roads leading into Odíhg Síhvikùwù possess a great number of switchbacks. While designed for defense, they mostly wind up pissing everyone trying to take goods to town right the hell off.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century the Kami spared the town from an attack. One of Odíhg Síhvikùwù's local festivals commemorates this miracle.
